Real Estate Education, Inc. is a proprietary real estate school accredited by the Texas Real Estate Commission to provide core education to license applicants. Courses held in Beaumont, Texas allow us to provide education to the entire Southeast Texas area. To accommodate working students, Real Estate Education holds all of its courses in the evenings and on weekends. We are approved by TREC to provide real estate pre-licensing and SAE renewal education. President Eddie Stockton is a licensed
broker and the President of Real Estate
Education, Inc. He holds several professional real estate designations,
including Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR); Certified Residential
Specialist (CRS); Graduate, REALTORS® Institute (GRI); and
Certified Real Estate Instructor (CREI). In addition to his many years of
real estate sales experience, Eddie has served as owner and/or manager of local
real estate companies and on the boards of
TREC-Approved Instructor Alice Cater received her Associate of Applied Arts & Sciences degree in Real Estate from Houston Community College. She also holds a BBA degree from Southern Methodist University and an MBA degree from University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Cater is a licensed Real Estate Broker, a Certified Real Estate Instructor (CREI) and a graduate of The Real Estate Center's Studies of Advanced Real Estate Subjects (SOARS) program. Alice is a member of the Real Estate Educators Association and Texas Real Estate Teachers Association (TRETA), having received the TRETA Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, she has received numerous teaching awards from Lamar University and Lamar Institute of Technology, where she currently serves as an Instructor in the LIT Real Estate program and LIT Campus Representative to the Texas Community College Teachers Association. TREC-Approved Instructor Andy Hemmings received his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Lamar University in Beaumont and a Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of Colorado-Boulder. He is a Certified Buyer Representative (CBR) and a Graduate of the Texas REALTORS® Institute (GRI). A former elementary school teacher, Mr. Hemmings has been a licensed real estate salesperson in Texas for nearly ten years, specializing in Residential real estate and earning several sales awards. He has previously taught New Member Orientation for the Beaumont Board of REALTORS®, where he has held numerous positions of leadership, currently serving on the Board of Directors and as Chair of both the TREPAC and Budget/Finance Committees. TREC-Approved Instructor Eddie Shamp holds an Associate Degree from Lamar Institute of Technology and a Bachelor Degree in Business from Lamar University. Mr. Shamp is a licensed real estate broker, a licensed mortgage broker, a notary public, and a property and life insurance agent. His experience includes working as a real estate sales agent, loan officer and as a process operator for Mobil Oil Corporation. He also volunteers as a patient advocate assistant at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital and on the alumni committee of Alpha Kappa Psi. Send email to Mr. Shamp.
TREC-Approved Instructor Jesse English holds Bachelor of Arts degrees from both American University and Lamar University, and he received his Doctor of Laws (JD) degree from South Texas College of Law. Mr. English is a member of the State Bar of Texas and both the Hardin County Bar and Jefferson County Bar. He also serves as Adjunct Instructor of Real Estate at Lamar Institute of Technology. TREC-Approved Instructor Cullin Smith is the former Director of the Real Estate program at Lamar Institute of Technology. He holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Texas Real Estate Teachers Association and is currently pursuing his Certified Real Estate Instructor designation. Student Services Bart holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences degree from Lamar University and is a graduate of the Texas REALTORS® Institute. A licensed real estate broker, he is a member of the Texas Real Estate Teachers Association and has received their Certified Real Estate Instructor certification. He has also completed certifications as a Real Estate Professional Assistant, e-PRO Technology Professional, and Military Markets Specialist, as well as Transnational Referral Certification. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the Beaumont Board of REALTORS® where he is the past chair of the Education Committee and teaches New Member Orientation. the Women's Council of REALTORS®. Mr. Stockton also provides numerous
hours of continuing education for many local real estate-related organizations,
including the Texas Association of Appraisal Districts.
Past Awards include "REALTOR® Of The Year" and "Salesperson of
the Year." Most recently, Eddie was awarded the 2005 "Spirit of Cooperation
Award" by the Beaumont Board of REALTORS®. Eddie
Stockton also co-authored the new Texas Real Estate Principles I
& II textbook from Educational Textbook Company. Mr. Stockton is the primary instructor for all classes, unless otherwise
noted.
